Why do I READ the Ventura County Star... But not understand?

Is it just me or have the local newspapers really been slipping lately? I mean, I understand that they’re shifting their content over from any sort of international coverage to the most basic local news, but really, what happened to the editors? Case in point, a REAL ad that was in my hometown newspaper of the Ventura County Star this last week (click on it for a larger view):



Now, either you have to assume that the originators of the ad like to make fun of the mumble mouthed diction of deaf people and that the Ventura County Star Editors agreed with this un-PC joke, or the more likely scenario, that the editors missed some severe typos. In any case, all I can say is “unbdibleavible”!

Update: I was actually bored enough to call this company during my lunch-break and they affirmed that the format of this ad was absolutely NOT intentional.
